The Lustleigh superking four poster room was the room that Charles Dickens resided in for 2 weeks in the year 1836. Views over the village This Victorian room is appointed with hand made fabrics and luxury Egyptian cotton bedding. Breakfast included, Free WIFI and Car Parking. The original Victorian built in wardrobe is still in the room. A large heated en suite modern bath and shower room which was the old reading room.Luxury bathroom cosmetics , Egyptian cotton sheets and fluffy towels. A fabulous historic room in the manor house building accessed off the main first floor landing.

The Oxenham Arms Hotel Room Booking Terms & Conditions

We do not like many country house hotels have a 24 hour manned reception. This means if your stay involves you returning later than 11PM at night please do not book a room with us. Within the building at night if you require assistance we provide a contact point for our night supervisor but we do not permit guests re-enter into the building after 11PM.This is for security and so as not to disturb the sleep of other guests.

All rooms are offered subject to them being available on receipt of successful completion of credit or debit card payment

Accounts can be settled in cash, MASTERCARD, VISA, DELTA or MAESTRO, DINERS card. We reserve the right to make interim charges during a customer stay of the amount of charged items exceeds £300. Cheques are not accepted.

During the current Covid 19 pandemic, we are operating a system where we do not permit guests to arrive back at the hotel or wander around our premises or facilities between 11.20 PM and 7.00 AM in the morning.

Dogs or pets are not allowed in any hotel guest rooms. Dogs on leads are allowed in our bar and gardens.

Any change or amendment to the arrival date on a room booking will be accommodated on a single (one room only) booking if another suitable date is available for that room and provided the amendment is made 7 days + or more in advance.

Rooms may not be ready until 3PM on day of arrival. Call us on the morning of arrival we will advise if earlier check-in is possible. Our bar is open from 11AM and we serve food 12-2.30PM then 6PM onwards. Afternoon Teas are available,

The hotel is not responsible at all for any guest property lost or damaged on the premises including vehicles. Guests may only bring visitors into the hotel guest rooms by prior arrangement with us.

The Oxenham Arms non-smoking and non-vaping policy ensures smoking and vaping is not permitted in any inside public area. or in any of the hotel's bedrooms, only in the designated area at the rear of the hotel near the gardens. Unlawful smoking will incur a £250 fine to cover cleaning and re-set of smoke alarms. Vaping is not permitted in any inside public area of the hotel.

Free child cots are available by pre-booking.

Child Z beds are available in Bovey, Belstone or Chagford rooms and are restricted to a maximum age of 14 years. A nightly Z bed additional charge of £35 per bed/child is made to cover bedding and breakfast costs.

We cannot be held responsible for the failure of public services such as water, electricity, etc, or for any disturbance which is outside or beyond our control including the weather.

We normally take full payment of any room reservation within 48 hours from when the booking is made but this does not affect your right to cancel and receive a full refund subject to the cancellation terms below

If a room booking for one room is cancelled 7 full days + before arrival a full refund will be provided to you.
If a booking is cancelled less than 7 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made. In the event of a nonarrival or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the original booking is charged. We would advise all guests to take our travel insurance to cover the eventuality of having to cancel within 7 days of arrival

Our gift vouchers must be redeemed at the time of arrival at the hotel, they are not redeemable through third-party booking agents and are not redeemable or part redeemable in exchange for cash or credit.

Damage to any of our buildings, property or grounds will be immediately charged to the customer. Documentary evidence will be provided on request

Discounts or promotions that we may offer on our own direct website and our own direct brochures are only available if booking direct with our hotel and not available if booking via any 3rd party company, website, or booking agency.
