Walk 1 from The Oxenham Arms up beautiful Belstone Cleave to the highest village on Dartmoor.

Follow the wonderful River Taw through a wooded and rocky gorge to one of the highest villages on Dartmoor.


Featured in the book “Tarka the Otter”, this walk can be enjoyed at any time of the year.

Mainly moorland and riverside tracks. Rocky path very close to river in places.Muddy if wet. Short uphill sections but not steep.
